Hydatid cyst of liver

Evidence of a well defined T1W hypo,T2W/SPAIR hyperintense multi-vesicular cystic lesion  noted involving segments IVA/IVB of the liver.Few T1W/T2W hypointense internal septations noted within the lesion.

 Multiple small T1W hypo, T2W/SPAIR hyperintense daughter cysts of varying sizes seen occupying predominantly the periphery of the giant mother cyst.

 Multiple curvilinear T1W hyper, T2W hypointensities within the lesion.-Suggestive of detached/collapsed membranes floating within the hydatid sand.

 The cystic lesion is seen indenting and displacing the gall bladder and is seen causing mild compression of the common hepatic duct.
