Pelvic floor imaging:
At rest: The positions of the bladder base, anorectal junction and cervix are normal and noted above the pubococcygeal line.
During straining & defecation:
- There is descent of anorectal junction. There is appearance of small rectocele, which is protruding from the anterior wall of the rectum towards the vagina.
- Moderately large cystocele is noted with descent of urinary bladder by 6.0cms below the pubococcygeal line.
- Descent of uterus and vagina also noted.
IMPRESSION: MR Defecogram Study reveals:
Pelvic floor dysfunction with rectal prolapse, cystocele and prolapse of uterus / vagina.
